  • Ghangchhenpo, also known as Naya Kanga, is a popular peak for climbing in the Langtang region of Nepal. It stands at an elevation of 5,844 meters (19,173 feet) and offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for climbers.

    The climb to Ghangchhenpo requires mountaineering skills and experience, including the use of ice axes, crampons, and ropes. The route typically involves a mix of snow and ice climbing, as well as some technical sections. It's important to have proper acclimatization and physical fitness before attempting the climb.

    The best time to climb Ghangchhenpo is during the spring (April to May) and autumn (October to November) seasons when the weather is relatively stable, and the views are spectacular.

    Climbing Ghangchhenpo offers stunning panoramic views of the Langtang range, including Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, and Shishapangma. It's an incredible adventure for mountaineers looking to challenge themselves and experience the beauty of the Himalayas.

    • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

      - Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. - Transfer to your hotel and rest for the day. - Meet with your climbing guide for a briefing and equipment check.

    • Day 2 Kathmandu to Syabrubesi
      Altitude: 1,550m

      - Take a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the starting point of the Ghangchenpo climb. - Enjoy the beautiful landscapes and mountain views along the way. - Overnight stay in Syabrubesi.

    • Day 3 Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel
      Altitude: 2,380m

      - Begin your trek from Syabrubesi and hike through the dense forests of rhododendron and bamboo. - Pass by the Langtang Khola and reach Lama Hotel. - Overnight stay in Lama Hotel.

    • Day 4 Lama Hotel to Langtang Village
      Altitude: 3,430m

      - Continue your trek and ascend through the beautiful Langtang Valley. - Pass by small villages and yak pastures. - Reach Langtang Village, which was heavily affected by the 2015 earthquake. - Overnight stay in Langtang Village.

    • Day 5 Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa
      Altitude: 3,870m

      - Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa. - Enjoy the stunning views of Langtang Lirung and other surrounding peaks. - Visit the Kyanjin Gompa monastery and acclimatize to the high altitude. - Overnight stay in Kyanjin Gompa.

    • Day 6 Acclimatization Day in Kyanjin Gompa

      - Take a rest day in Kyanjin Gompa to acclimatize to the high altitude. - Optional hike to Tserko Ri (4,984m) for panoramic views of the Langtang range. - Overnight stay in Kyanjin Gompa.

    • Day 7 Kyanjin Gompa to Ghangchenpo Base Camp
      Altitude: 4,900m

      - Leave Kyanjin Gompa and start the trek towards Ghangchenpo Base Camp. - Ascend through rocky terrain and reach the base camp. - Set up camp and rest for the day. - Overnight stay at Ghangchenpo Base Camp.

    • Day 8-12 Summit Ghangchenpo
      Altitude: 6,387m

      - Begin the summit climb of Ghangchenpo. - Follow the guidance of your climbing guide and use proper climbing techniques. - Camp at higher altitudes as you progress towards the summit. - Reach the summit of Ghangchenpo and enjoy the breathtaking views. - Descend back to Ghangchenpo Base Camp. - Overnight stays at various high-altitude camps.

    • Day 13-14 Descend to Kyanjin Gompa and Syabrubesi

      - Descend from Ghangchenpo Base Camp to Kyanjin Gompa. - Continue descending through Langtang Valley to Syabrubesi. - Overnight stays in Kyanjin Gompa and Syabrubesi.

    • Day 15 Syabrubesi to Kathmandu

      - Take a scenic drive from Syabrubesi back to Kathmandu. - Transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. - Celebrate the successful climb of Ghangchenpo. - Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

    • Day 16 Departure from Kathmandu

      - Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure.

    • AIRPORT PICK-UP & DROP : Airport - Hotel transfer – Airport (Pick Up and Drop).
    • ACCOMMODATION IN KATHMANDU : 3 nights sharing twin bedroom at the hotel (3-star category) in Kathmandu – Sharing twin Bedroom on BB Plan.
    • WELCOME DINNER : One Welcome Dinner in a tourist standard restaurant in Kathmandu with Office’s Staff.
    • PERMITS : All necessary paper works: Annapurna Conservation area permit, TIMS Card & conservation entry fee.
    • STAFF INSURANCE : Insurance for all involved Nepalese staff during the trek.
    • MAP : Langtang Valley Trek
    • MEMBER TRANSPORTATION : Air Transportation: (Domestic Flight) Fly from Kathmandu – to Pokhara and while returning Pokhara – to Kathmandu, as per itinerary. Land Transportation: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and while returning Pokhara to Kathmandu (by tourist vehicles).
    • DRIVE BY PRIVATE/TOURIST VEHICLE : Pokhara – Kande and while returning drive to Pokhara from Siding Village.
    • MEMBER LUGGAGE : Up to 15 Kg per member for personal baggage during the trek carrying by porters.
    • FOODS & LODGING : Food 3 meals a day (BLD; including tea and coffee) along with accessible accommodation at Hotel/Lodge during the trek.
    • GUIDE : Local government-licensed Guide (English speaking) during the trek and sight-seeing in Kathmandu valley.
    • PORTER : Porters (2 trekkers: 1 porter) during the trek.
    • STAFF SALARY & ALLOWANCE : All Nepalese staff & porter’s daily wages, salary, equipment, food & clothing.
