The Everest Base Camp with Gokyo Lake via Cho-La Pass trek is an incredible adventure in the Everest region. You'll get to experience the best of both worlds by visiting both Everest Base Camp and the stunning Gokyo Lakes. The trek takes you through picturesque valleys, glacial lakes, and high mountain passes, including the challenging Cho-La Pass. Along the way, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and more. It's a challenging trek, but the rewards are absolutely worth.
- Gokyo Ri: This is a popular viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the Gokyo Lakes, surrounding mountains, and even Mount Everest on a clear day.
- Gokyo Lakes: There are a total of six lakes in the Gokyo Valley, known for their pristine turquoise color. The lakes are considered sacred by the Sherpa people and are a sight to behold.
- Ngozumpa Glacier: It's the longest glacier in the Himalayas and stretches for about 36 kilometers. You'll get to witness this massive glacier up close during the trek.
- Renjo La Pass: This high mountain pass offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, including Everest, Cho Oyu, and Makalu. It's a challenging but rewarding part of the trek.
- Gokyo Ri: This is a popular viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the Gokyo Lakes, surrounding mountains, and even Mount Everest on a clear day.

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu
Altitude: 1,350m
- Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. - Transfer to your hotel and rest for the day. - Meet with your trekking guide for a briefing and equipment check.
- Day 2 Kathmandu to Lukla and Phadking
Altitude: 2,800m & 2,652m- Take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. - Begin your trek from Lukla and descend to Phakding. - Overnight stay in Phakding.
- Day 3 Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Altitude: 3,440m- Continue your trek along the Dudh Koshi River. - Cross suspension bridges and ascend to Namche Bazaar. - Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.
- Day 4 Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
- Take a rest day in Namche Bazaar to acclimatize to the high altitude. - Optional hike to Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Mt. Everest. - Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.
- Day 5 Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Altitude: 3,870m- Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery. - Enjoy the views of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. - Overnight stay in Tengboche.
- Day 6 Tengboche to Dingboche
Altitude: 4,410m- Continue your trek and descend to the Imja Khola. - Cross a suspension bridge and ascend to Dingboche. - Overnight stay in Dingboche.
- Day 7 Acclimatization Day in Dingboche
- Take a rest day in Dingboche to acclimatize to the high altitude. - Optional hike to Nagarjun Hill for stunning views of the surrounding peaks. - Overnight stay in Dingboche.
- Day 8 Dingboche to Lobuche
Altitude: 4,910m- Continue your trek and ascend to Lobuche. - Enjoy the views of the Khumbu Glacier and surrounding mountains. - Overnight stay in Lobuche.
- Day 9 Lobuche to Gorak Shep and Everst Base Camp
Altitude: 5,140m & 5,364m- Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. - Continue to Everest Base Camp and enjoy the views of the Khumbu Icefall. - Return to Gorak Shep for overnight stay.
- Day 10 Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar and Dzongla
Altitude: 5,545m & 4,830m- Early morning hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise views of Mt. Everest and the surrounding peaks. - Descend back to Gorak Shep and continue to Dzongla. - Overnight stay in Dzongla.
- Day 11 Dzongla to Thangnak via Cho-La Pass
Altitude: 4,700m via 5,420m- Cross the challenging Cho-La Pass and descend to Thangnak. - Enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains and landscapes. - Overnight stay in Thangnak.
- Day 12 Thangnak to Gokyo
Altitude: 4,750m- Continue your trek and ascend to Gokyo, a beautiful village located on the shores of Gokyo Lake. - Enjoy the views of the surrounding peaks and explore the area. - Overnight stay in Gokyo.
- Day 13 Acclimatization Day in Gokyo
- Take a rest day in Gokyo to acclimatize to the high altitude. - Optional hike to Gokyo Ri for panoramic views of the Everest region. - Overnight stay in Gokyo.
- Day 14 Gokyo to Dole
Altitude: 4,040m- Trek from Gokyo to Dole, descending through the Dudh Koshi Valley. - Enjoy the views of the mountains and forests along the way. - Overnight stay in Dole.
- Day 15 Dole to Namche Bazaar
Altitude: 3,440m- Continue your trek and descend to Namche Bazaar. - Enjoy the scenic views and cultural experiences along the way. - Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.
- Day 16 Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Altitude: 2,800m- Continue your trek and descend to Lukla. - Enjoy the last day of trekking in the Everest region. - Overnight stay in Lukla.
- Day 17 Lukla to Kathmandu
Altitude: 1,350m- Take a scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu. - Transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. - Celebrate the successful completion of the Everest Base Camp with Gokyo Lake via Cho-La Pass trek. - Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
- Day 18 Departure from Kathmandu
- Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure.
- AIRPORT PICK-UP & DROP : Airport - Hotel transfers – Airport (Pick Up and Drop).
- WELCOME DINNER : One Welcome Dinner in a tourist standard restaurant in Kathmandu with Office’s Staff.
- PERMITS : All necessary paper works: Sagarmatha National Park permit, TIMS CARD & Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality entry fee.
- STAFF INSURANCE : Insurance for all involved Nepalese staff during the trek.
- MAP : Everest Region Trekking map.
- MEMBER TRANSPORTATION : Air Transportation: (Domestic Flight) Fly from Kathmandu – to Lukla and while returning Lukla – to Kathmandu, with a Guide as per itinerary.
- MEMBER LUGGAGE : Up to 15 Kg per member for personal baggage during the trek carried by porters.
- FOODS & LODGING : 3 meals a day (BLD; including tea and coffee) along with accessible accommodation sharing a twin bedroom at Hotel/Lodge during the trek.
- HOT WATER : 2 liters of boiled water to carry on thermos per day per member.
- GUIDE : Government licensed Guide (English speaking) during the trek and sight-seeing in Kathmandu valley.
- PORTER : Porters (2 trekkers: 1 porter) during the trek.
